Hidden Valley Trail Rides
Horse Riding in Cooktown
Ride amongst the gum trees - and all the other types of fauna and flora growing in the tropical outback of Cooktown's river's flood plains. Head out from the stables after spending time getting to know your horse. Get off the beaten track and explore Cooktown's true tropical outback.
Choice of rides - bush or beach
Let a trail take us alongside croc filled tidal rivers and pretty lagoons, to find hidden valleys and wide plains of striking white gums alongside dense tropical woodlands. In 1770, had Mr Joseph Banks and Lt Cook ridden one of my horses, they would have gasped at the same sights that you will enjoy. Then we follow a trail to a secret bush camp for some billy tea and fireside eats before heading home. Or we can do a half day ride to one of Cooktown's beaches with the option of stopping for a coldie! Full moon rides are back on the agenda - take a shorter bush track to a campsite for some scrumptious fireside supper and ride back through the bush by moonlight.
Riding is a high risk tourism adventure and signing the Indemity Form is compulsory. The PDF of the Indemnity Form can be printed and brought to the stables to save time. Ta..
